While looking at the catalog for the May 21-22 2011 Farmers And Ranchers Livestock Horse Sale, I spotted four mares being offered by the Putnams that look like an awesome opportunity for a clever shopper!

At the Salina sales, pleasure-breds (the truly beautiful, kind, fun to own horses) are often overlooked because that sale is known as a "cowhorse" sale. Sometimes, pleasure horse fanciers can get good deals on pleasure breds in that sale. For example, I once bought a Superior producing, totally broke to ride daughter of world champion Zips Chocolate Chip at the Salina sale for only $350. She was awesome! I used her as a safe and sane lesson horse for kids.
